Kernel for Writer is data recovery and file repair software for OpenOffice Writer documents. ODT files which become corrupt, damaged or inaccessible are repaired with the software and data is recovered from the. Recovered data from corrupt documents is saved to new healthy odt files. Software to perform successful odt repair supports batch repairing of many odt files. Document text, text formatting, images, tables, Unicode characters, image objects, page layout, page orientations, page breaks, special characters are successfully recovered with Kernel for Writer. Evaluation version of the software is available free of cost to the users, with which they can examine the repair and recovery process before purchasing the software. Free demo software will not save the original text and images in the recovered data, instead it will display the words 'demo' and 'demo restriction' in place of original data.
