PST files have a predefined size limit and when that limit is exceeded, corruption in PST files may occur. To keep the size of PST files under control, compress PST tools can be used to reduce their file size by compressing their file contents. Furthermore, attachments with PST files can also be compressed so as to further reduce their size. The compression and compaction process of PST files also help in reducing the disk space.
